• July 27, 2012 -- Betsy's poem "Cerebral Hemorrhage" is published in Latitude on 2nd: 2012 Summer Poetry Anthology AND Betsy's short story "Exclusive Exposure" is published in A Torn Page: 2012 Summer Short Fiction Anthology
• July 21, 2012 -- Betsy participated in the "open mike" performances at Birdie's Cafe in Westminster. She performed poems "Silent Orchestra" which also appears in the July 2012 issue of Empirical Magazine, and "I'm a Believer" (her 2nd round winning entry from the NYC Midnight competition), and "Laundry of the Mind" from the Spring edition of Latitude on 2nd.
• May 19, 2012 -- Betsy will be in the Carroll County MWA booth at the Gaithersburg Book Festival
• April 4, 2012 -- Betsy's poem "Guardian Angle" and fable "Raffaiella" published in Pen in Hand, the quarterly newsletter of the Maryland Writers Association
• April 1, 2012 -- Short story "Second Opinion" (writing as Desdemona Pike) posted in April issue (theme: Alter Egos) of SNM Horror Magazine (for 60 days). This story will also appear in the print anthology, Bonded by Blood V.
• April 2, 2012 -- release of That One Left Shoe anthology
• April 2, 2012 -- Betsy's poem "Sleeping People" posted on SNM Horror Magazine Dark Poetry website (for one month)

• March 2012 -- release of Latitude on 2nd, a poetry anthology by Cool Waters Media, Inc., containing three poems by Betsy: "All Fall Down", "Laundry of the MInd", and "The Thinker Sleeps"

One of Betsy's blog entries was featured on the website of the Carroll County chapter of the Maryland Writers Association.

• September 18, 2011 -- Betsy was the featured artist in the Plein Air booth at the Olney Farmer's and Artist's Market . The market is on route 108 near Prince Philip Drive and is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday in season (May-October). Betsy was autographing books, with proceeds from the first five books going to support the Plein Air artists group. Also for sale were giclee prints of some of Betsy's artwork and photography.

• June 18, 2011 -- Betsy participated in the Plein Air Olney Paint Out! at Ashton Tanglewood Historic Farm, Blueberry Gardens and Wellness Center. Artists were working live from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. with an onsite "Wet Paint" show & sale at the "Everything Blueberry" reception from 3-5 p.m. under the large tent.
